TOC is a continuous improvement management philosophy for identifying a constraint in critical processes and developing mitigating solutions that exploit the constraint to maximize performance. The premise is to reduce or eliminate constraints by identifying bottlenecks\, then developing strategies and allocating resources. Initially used to manage issues and maximize throughput in production operations\, TOC can be applied in project management by focusing on critical tasks and team member performance. Participants will engage in activities to evaluate a key constraint of a team situation\, and devise a strategy to mitigate the constraint.\n\n\n\n1:45 pm - 2:30 pm\n\nPresentation 3 \n\nSession Title: Exploit Your Personality Traits in Leadership Roles\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Aaron Joyal\, Assistant Professor\, Alfiero School of Business\n\nSession Description:\n\nSteering the ship: Self-awareness is essential for a leader's professional toolbox. Personality\, emotional intelligence\, and cultural intelligence engender a business leaders' task-oriented traits as they relate to Transformational Leadership and Leader-Member Exchange. Participants will complete several short self-assessments to understand their traits and skills.
