Professional Certification in Generative AI Foundations
This program is designed to train professionals across industries in the safe, ethical, and effective use of Generative AI. The ChatGPT Accelerator Workshop introduces students to core concepts, tools, and techniques essential for understanding and applying AI technologies in professional, academic, and personal settings. Students will gain hands-on experience using ChatGPT, building task-specific prompts, creating custom GPTs, and exploring AI’s most advanced features including real-time voice/vision, Canvas, and image generation.
Graduates of the program will receive a Beginner’s Certificate upon completion. Employment opportunities may include roles in business operations, marketing, healthcare, education, finance, customer service, and HR—where AI knowledge is increasingly essential.
The six-week program includes weekly 2-hour classes (in-person or Zoom), with topics ranging from AI fundamentals to prompt engineering, workflow automation, and ethical integration into organizations. Students will build a practical AI toolkit, culminating in a capstone project and live feedback session.
Participants should be aware that AI tools are rapidly evolving. While this course provides a strong foundation, continued education is encouraged to stay current. No technical background is required.
Textbooks are not required for this course. All materials and tools are provided digitally. Health forms are not required for this non-clinical course. Course questions can be directed to the Workforce Development Office at Trocaire College.
