AMHERST, NY – Amherst Chamber of Commerce President/CEO A.J. Baynes announces the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Advanced Integrative Care, a provider of primary and wellness care at the Stonegate Medical Park, 8207 Main Street in Williamsville.
Advanced Integrative Care offers science-based traditional and holistic medicine that focuses on the whole person, including all aspects that influence health, wellness and disease. Founder Sherry Ann Verostko-Slazak, Adult Nurse Practitioner has partnered with Marlene Rogers, Family Nurse Practitioner and Barbara Tytka, Registered Nurse to create a medical team guided by 60 years of combined experience in health care.
“The Chamber is proud to have these skilled medical professionals in Amherst serving the health care needs of our community,” says Baynes. “Their dedication and commitment to the well-being of their patients is a credit to their field.”
Services offered include medical marijuana consultation and treatment for opioid/alcohol dependency, adrenal insufficiency, thyroid and immune system disorders, as well as hormone therapy.
Tytka has more than 20 years of experience in non-traditional treatments including essential oils and three types of IV therapy: Nutritional, Chelation for exposure to heavy metals/mercury and Oxidative that removes toxins from cells.
“We’ve seen a big difference in patients who are taking natural-based products,” says Sherry Ann Verostko-Slazak. “Sometimes traditional medicine is the best course of action for our patients, but too often it doesn’t go far enough. We want to provide options that don’t just treat the problem, but the root cause of it, too.”
Verostko-Slazak experienced the healing power of alternative medicine first-hand after suffering a severe neck injury when a drunk driver slammed into her car two years ago.
“Doctors just wanted to keep giving me more and more opioids,” says Verostko-Slazak. She turned to natural methods, chiropractic and message treatments to help manage chronic pain.
“It’s not that I don’t believe in traditional medicine,” says Marlene Rogers. “But we supplement natural methods along with it to give our patients fewer side effects and better outcomes.”
