Schedule: Days
Compensation: $67,000 – $77,000/year, based on experience
 
What We Are Looking For
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential to the organization’s operations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards and strong supplier relationships. The Procurement Specialist will collaborate with internal departments to understand needs, manage inventory levels, streamline purchasing processes, and support strategic cost-savings initiatives.
 
What You Will Do
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Conduct competitive bidding processes and analyze supplier proposals.
  • Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost reductions and supply stability.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to optimize value.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and finance to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with demand planning.
  • Identify alternative suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, and documentation for reporting and compliance.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Support initiatives to streamline purchasing workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain and operations optimization.

What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or related roles.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment experience preferred if applicable.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.
  • Ability to interpret purchasing data, pricing models, and market trends.
  • Office-based role with occasional travel to suppliers or company sites.
  • May require periodic extended hours during critical project or procurement cycles.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to fulfill and adapt to the requests of our internal and external customers
  • Commitment to integrity and ethical behavior and the proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
