Amherst, Clarence and Ken-Ton Chambers of Commerce Offer Energy Forum Hosted by NOCO 9/24/2025

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce, Clarence Chamber of Commerce, and Ken-Ton Chamber of Commerce are joining together to offer an Energy Forum for businesses. Hosted by NOCO, this free event is Wednesday, Sept. 24 beginning with networking at 8 a.m. and the program from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Reikart House at Jazzboline located at 5010 Main St., Amherst.

“Energy costs continue to skyrocket out of control as evidenced by the recent double-digit rate increases by investor-owned utilities across the state,” said Michael Casciano, president and chief operating officer, NOCO. “With the state’s new climate law, energy costs are becoming a significant factor impacting business operations, so it’s incumbent that businesses take control of their energy usage to mitigate these escalating costs.”

Attendees will gain insight into how the future of energy will look, including emerging technologies and clean energy solutions, learn more about the state’s climate plans, including the impacts of the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), and how businesses can access incentives and rebates through the New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) and other state funded programs.

Tim Bowen, construction/maintenance and engineering maintenance, property and waste manager with Tops Markets will also share how the grocery chain completed energy efficiency steps, including the effect on operational goals and enhancements to the in-store experience.

The forum will be moderated by AJ Baynes, president and CEO of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce. For more details or to register, visit amherst.org/events.
