NBT Insurance Agency Expands into Western Region of New York
Williamsville, NY (June 17, 2026) – NBT Insurance Agency, a 130 year old insurance agency known for its holistic approach to serving customers and communities, announced its expansion into the Western Region of New York with the addition of three seasoned professionals based at NBT Bank’s regional headquarters in Williamsville.

Kathleen Armstrong has joined NBT Insurance as Employee Benefits Market Leader and will work closely with NBT Bank’s commercial banking team as she leads growth of the Agency’s employee benefits practice in the Buffalo market. She brings 18 years of experience and most recently served as Manager of Enterprise Accounts at Lawley. Armstrong earned her bachelor’s degree from Canisius University and her master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University.
Jon LaSorsa has joined NBT Insurance as Sales Executive. He brings more than 17 years of experience spanning personal and commercial lines sales, claims handling and leadership. Most recently, he served as Commercial Lines Producer with USI Insurance Services in Buffalo where he specialized in solution-based sales, helping businesses secure tailored coverage while building strong relationships with executive-level clients. Jon’s background also includes roles with Liberty Mutual, Utica National Insurance Group and GEICO. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo.
Dan Ward has joined NBT Insurance as Business Development Manager for Personal Lines Sales and Service. Ward brings more than 20 years of experience as a nonprofit leader along with five years of insurance industry experience. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornerstone University and his master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
