WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – Amherst Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, A.J. Baynes, joins Snyder Track & Field, along with the community, at 5:00pm on Thursday, August 22nd at 76 South Long St, Williamsville 14221.
“What an incredible journey for Kelsey and Pete over the past few years as their passion for track and field has created an incredible asset for those athletes,” said A.J. Baynes, President & CEO of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce. “Kelsey and Pete are not only helping these athletes improve their performance, but they are also creating a more vibrant and healthy community for all of those that participate.”
"From a little pandemic project at the Harlem Road Community Center, to this now 8,000-square foot field house, it has been a wild ride, and we're so thankful for every person who has supported this endeavor along the way," said Kelsey Ryan, co-owner of Snyder Track and Field. “We are incredibly proud to open the doors to the public. This facility represents a significant investment in the sport of track and field in our community.”
"Our goal from the beginning has been to create a space where children of all ages and abilities can experience the joy of track and field," said Pete Gratien, co-owner. “This sport allows all athletes to “win” simply by improving on previous times and distances. It’s also a sport that can lead to lifelong physical and mental wellbeing.”

Snyder Track and Field, is owned by Kelsey Ryan and Pete Gratien, coaches at Daemen University and parents in Snyder NY, are dedicated to elevating the popularity of track and field in WNY by introducing the sport to kids at a young age. The Snyder Track & Field facility is a cutting-edge complex built to provide year-round training and competition opportunities for members of the growing Snyder Track and field camps and club teams. The facility boasts long jump and high jump pits, sprint lanes, hurdles, a throwing cage, and much more.
